The Cross of Jesus Christ

The cross is a symbol of shame...a capital punishment for the serious offenders by the Romans borrowed from the Persians...

To be crucified for the Persians...is to be lifted to the ground so as not to taint the ground. For the one being crucified is an embarrassment to the earth. That's why he should be elevated so as not to contaminate the earth.

When Romans imported that kind of torture, it was applied to its subject, including Israel.

Until...

Jesus was accused of pretending to be a king. Jesus... who they don't want to contaminate the earth was nailed on that cross of shame. But on the the cross became the Savior of the World. While hanging on the cross which symbolizes the meaning of death, Jesus changed its humiliating meaning into salvation.
